Long John - John Barry - The Music Of John Barry (CD)

The Music of John Barry, NOT2CD A 2 CD and 50 track journey through the early years of popular composer John Barry including some of his earliest singles and through to the recording of the James Bond Theme. The sound quality is great and the liner notes from Nigel Cross detail a fascinating story/5(27).

John Barry has to be the most prolific of the film composers of the twentieth century. His range is truly amazing, from the James Bond. themes to sweeping sagas "Out Of Africa" to romantic tragedies "Somewhere In Time". His compositions are timeless and ever-enduring. When "We Have All The Time In The World" debuted in , from the James Bond /5(14).

Have always admired the music of John Barry and particularly his music for 'Out of Africa' and 'Dances with Wolves' so it was nice to hear some of his earlier work prior to the 'James Bond' music. Like another reviewer was a little disappointed with the 'John Dunbar' version included however for the price of a used CD am very happy/5().
